Friends are Artists | Freunde sind Künstler exists as a collaborative and curatorial project that invites and encourages emerging artists and writers. The project aims to provide an open platform to generate discussions through visual language and idea while traversing between each location.
In January 2016, Leipzig-based artist Megan Dieudonné curated the exhibition Friends are Artists in Berlin consisting of eight New Zealand artists. In response, Wellington-based artist Jordana Bragg curated the exhibition Freunde sind Künstler consisting of nine German artists in April 2016.
Since, Friends are Artists | Freunde sind Künstler continues to curate exhibitions in Germany and in New Zealand while exploring new nomadic forms of exhibiting and publishing work.
